A Nice Clean Place to Play

It's only temporary of course. That's why I took a few pictures once Rob had picked up and neatly organized all the toys. I didn't take any photos of what it looked like fifteen minutes after these were snapped. Now the Spider-Man and Transformers are mingling with wooden blocks and legos. Dora is having tea with a one-armed super hero. Trains are hopelessly derailed and the Dr. Seuss books are interspersed with Thomas the Train tales.

They seem to prefer it in its natural state of chaos. Actually they seem to prefer everything in chaos. It dements me. I love that phrase Mary.

The chaos of our playroom dements me too.

(And I think my nagging about tidying it up dements everyone else in the house.)

I have kept our play areas tidy for over a week!!! In school holidays!!! It's amazing, I know. But I loved the order (as opposed to the chaos) so much that I am just making the boys help me pack up every night. So far, so good.

I hope Rob raged the entire time threatening to throw out all the toys, it's an important part of the clean up process

These photos should be printed in large format, laminated and stuck to the walls of the play area. You never know, it might help....

NAH!

5 minutes is all it takes to create chaos from calm here. BUT, how much better is that, than having harpy parents? :)

Oh, hang on, I *am* harpy....

Oh Soozadoo, he was indeed. Grumble, grumble.... "give these toys to children who appreciate them. Who would take care of them." Personally I don't think such children exist.

OMG, if only our toys could look that tidy, even just for a minute, I spend my days nagging at them to tidy up.
I'm sure if they showed 'would be' parents the mess kids can make before they decided to get pregnant there would be fewer pregnancies.....but you gotta love it, where would we be with out our messy litle people.

aaaah, tidiness. I can see Blossom's room from my desk and oh, oh, oh, avert my eyes, it's horrible. I know it's not as horrible as some rooms but I.just.can't.bear.it.
