I love you

Even when your breath smells bad and your nose is runny.
Or your hair looks funny.
I love you even when you’re mad, sad or bad.
I love you when you’re sleepy
I love you when you’re dirty.
I love you when you’re smelly.
I love you when you’re grumpy.
I love you with your front tooth.
I love you without your front tooth.
I loved you when you were small and now that you’re tall.
I love you no matter what.

This is our bedtime nonsense tale. J.T. and I. It doesn’t always rhyme and it is certainly quite silly. But we like it. And it always ends with a big smacky kiss.

This is just beautiful. You are creating amazing traditions in your family that I bet J.T and Abby will take in to their own families....

That is lovely.

Just between you & me, I even love mine when they try to burp the alphabet but I can't tell them that in case it encourages them.

"I love you enough to tell you to go brush your teeth or put on some deodorant".

You are a lovely Mum.

Mine is "goodnight, sweet dreams, I love you."

If I forget to say it , the kids have been known to stumble into my room in the middle of the night to get their goodnight...

It's lovely to have all those little traditions. We have had different bedtime rituals over the years but nothing beats a "proper" tuck-in, a teddy or seven and a kiss.
