Abby came down with strep throat last week. Now I have it. Pure misery.

I don't do sick well. Laying in bed during the day is not my idea of fun... especially when you feel too bad to read. My head hurts, my back hurts, I feel slightly queasy and my throat feels like it is scraped raw. Which is why I am up at 5 a.m., not the norm for my Sunday morning, trying to distract myself from the pain and yuck that goes along with being sick.

Abby is much tougher than I am. Other than a few hours of laying around and being a little less perky than usual, you wouldn't know that she'd just been through a severe case of strep throat. I, on the other hand, am a whining, sniffling, shoot me now, wimp.

Please take some painkillers, make yourself a cup of tea, put yourself back to bed with a book and read and drowse yourself back to sleep.

Like Mary said, could keep talking to us!

You must feel terrible. I say lots of lovely care and attention should go your way. Mmmm cup of tea sounds nice.

Feel better soon.

You poor thing. Now I suppose Rob will catch it before you feel properly better and then whine and carry on as if he's got it worse than anyone.

Take the drugs, like Mary said. I like honey for bad throats, a teaspoonful to protect the lining from all the scraping.

Rob's List of Things To Do When Visiting Australia:

1. Step on Stomper's foot.
2. Make it look like an accident.
3. Go snorkling.
4. Toilet Paper Stomper's house.
5. Frame it on teenagers.
6. Visit Australia Zoo.
7. See the outback (try not to get killed like in the movie 'Wolf Creek').
8. Step on Stomper's other foot.
9. Make it look like an accident.
10. Have a boxing match against a Kangaroo.
11. Blame Stomper when I lose.

...and for the record I will be waiting until Melinda is completely well before I get sick so that she will be at full strength for taking care of me. Never let it be said that I'm not a considerate spouse.
